Five die in Morigaon road mishap, Driver thrashed, Later Hospitalized

In a tragic incident, three men moved down by a speedy truck (AS 02E 6266) in Moirabari under Morigaon District.

As per reports, two more people were reported injured during the incident and were rushed to a Nagaon Bhogeshwari Fukononi Civil Hospital under critical condition.

Notably, the truck heading to Moirabari from Laharighat in Morigaon District had hit five people at the market area soon after the driver lost control over the vehicle.

Following the incident, local people caught the vehicle and thrashed the driver while the latter was trying to flee from the spot.

The deceased persons were identified as Osman Ali, Wahidur Rahman and Umed Ali.

On the other hand, one of the injured people was identified as Joinal Abedin, but, identity of the fifth person was not ascertained yet.

Both of them later succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

The driver of the truck identified as Muksidul Islam was injured following the mob attack and was admitted at a hospital.
