Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya honours elephant calf with 'Assamese Gamosha' on Jan 1, 2020

Assam Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on the very first day of the New Year met an elephant calf in the Assam State Zoo Cum Botanical Garden and honoured the animal with a traditional 'Assamese Gamosha'.

Expressing his happiness on the January 1, 2020, the Forest Minister of Assam tweets, "Glad to visit Assam State Zoo to make a beautiful start to 2020 and spend some quality time with a very younger elephant and an elder one inside the zoo campus."

He further told, "I also interacted and greeted the senior officials of Assam Forest Department & wished them luck for their duties & responsibilities towards Mother Nature & wildlife of Assam."
