Four 4 Rhino poachers Apprehended at Rangsali, Behali, Biswanath, Poaching attempt Foiled

Based on a specific input at about 9.30 PM on Tuesday, a search operation was carried out by Joint teams of Forest and Police led by Range Officer Pranjal Baruah, Crime Investigation Range, BNC, Range Officer, Nayan Jyoti Gogoi, Gamiri Range and SI Raju Dowarah, Officer-In-Charge Behali PS with the help of 2nd battalion Assam Forest Protection Force apprehended the following 4 rhino poachers from Botiamari-Rangsali Road while they were coming by a Temp Auto bearing Reg No-AS 12AC 5797 to the hunt Rhinoceros in the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.

During detection and on further search Ration/Grocery and some other incriminating articles (used in Poaching Rhino) were recovered from their possession. Investigation is on.

The arrested accused were identified as Paosanthang Guite alias Thang (Sharp Shooter) 33 years, Babul Das alias Dudu-44 years (veteran and wanted Poacher), Bimal Bania alias Babu-24 years, Sukhdev Mukhiya alias Gulna Bin (veteran and wanted Poacher)-55 years.
