Injured Rhino strays out from Manas National Park in Chirang

An injured rhino strayed out from nearby Manas National Park on Monday was spotted at No.1 Natunmati of Bijni in Chirang District.

As per reports, the one-horned rhino received bullet injuries and has now moved towards No.2 Dholadanda Forest Range.

Speaking to media, forest officials informed that rhino poachers were suspected to be behind the attack, thus, an operation was launched against the illegal poaching activity in the area.

So far no one is arrested. Further investigation is on.
