Leopard caged in Naharani Megha Tea Estate

A leopard which was creating terror among locals at Naharoni tea estate in Demow area of Sivasagar district was trapped by a cage set by the Forest department on Sunday.

For the past one month, the big cat had caused fear amongst the workers of the Tea Garden situated beside the NH-37 and also preyed on the livestock of people in the surrounding area.

A large number of people flocked to the Tea Estate to take a glimpse of the caged animal.
