Major Road Accident at West Karbi Anglong

In a tragic road accident in West Karbi Anglong, five people lost their lives and 35 others were seriously injured. The accident occurred when a truck fell off the roads after losing control. Almost 100 people were returning from a pre-Christmas celebration in the vehicle. The truck lost control at a curve on Mukhimpath in Kheroni's Jirikending. The deceased have been identified as Festingjun Terang, Melrina Terangpi, Jengsudan Sinthongpi, Jaslina Ingtipi and Leader Terang. The injured have been admitted to the Diphu Civil Hospital.
