Man arrested on charges of Rape and Murder in Lanka

Udali police at Lanka on Friday night arrested one suspected accused on charges of attempt to rape & murder at Maurajhar area on the night of Vishwakarma Puja.

The person identified as Anwar Hussain allegedly made an attempt to rape a girl in Bamungaon area on the night of Vishwakarma Puja. Later, he allegedly attacked the mother of the girl with a dagger who tried to rescue her from notorious culprits.

A case was registered in relation to the matter at Udali Police Station by the mother of the victim girl.

Meanwhile, the other accomplice of the Anwar Hussain, Nur Uddin is reported absconding.
