Man-Elephant Conflict: Locals spend sleepless night in Samuguri

Man- Elephant Conflict is on the rise in Samuguri area since last couple of weeks.

As per reports, locals at Gendhali, Boraligaon, Padumoni, Kuruwabahi in Samuguri are spending sleepless nights since last couple of weeks.

Wild elephants, after creating panic in the remote and rural areas of Assam, have now entered the cities to make life miserable for the city-dwellers.

Meanwhile, officials of the Forest Department said elephants mainly entered villages in search of food and if there was no scarcity of their staples, they wouldn't enter human habitats.
