Mass Hunger Strike observed against CAA 2019 at Cotton College

Cotton University Student society along with various members of the Artistes Society as well as public organised a hunger strike to protest against CAA. The hunger strike which started at 10 AM in the morning will continue until 5 PM in the evening.

CAA aims to protect religiously persecuted Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan by giving them Indian Citizenship. The cut-off date for those to be given citizenship in India has been fixed at, on or before 31st December 2014.
