Meet Rafiul Hossain Barua, sending messages of universal brotherhood for several years.

At a time when bigotry and intolerance pervade lives of many, a man from Minority community has been seen sending message of compassion, unity and universal brotherhood for several years. Rafiul Hossain Barua, a resident of Boroma Road, Nalbari, has read and kept many Hindu holy scriptures at his private library.

He had constructed a library to house holy scriptures of different faiths and penned books on Hinduism and Islam to promote brotherhood and unity in the society. He told that he had read some major holy scriptures of Hinduism including Gita, the Vedas, the Mahabharata, the Ramayana etc. besides the holy books of his faith.

Apart from working for keeping mutual understanding among the people of different religions of his locality intact Barua has been strongly voicing his opinion against corrupt practices and injustice in society. Barua said that he has been living in Nalbari town since 1987.
