NSUI demands release of Assam Youth Congress President in South Salmara Mankachar

Demanding unconditional and immediate release of Assam Youth Congress President Kamrul Islam Choudhury, the members of NSUI burned the effigies of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and State Cabinet Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in South Salmara Mankachar on Friday.

It may be mentioned that Kamrul Islam Choudhury was arrested on charges of alleged vandalism during the protests opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Choudhury was arrested for allegedly indulging in acts of violence during the anti-CAA protests in Guwahati.
