Passenger allegedly assaulted by Handyman in Lakhimpur

In a shocking incident, a passenger was brutally assaulted by a handyman of a traveller bus (AS 07C 8732) near National Highway 15 at Nauboisha in Lakhimpur District on Thursday afternoon.

As per reports, the passenger was attacked for not being able to pay his travel fare and was thrown out of the vehicle.

Later, public thrashed the handyman identified as Papumoni Hazarika and handed him over to the Nauboisha police.

On the other hand, the injured passenger was shifted to a nearby hospital under critical condition.

Further investigation is on.
