Poor Woman in Digboi's Pengri dies after giving birth to twins

A poor woman at Tekeri village in Digboi's Pengri died after giving birth two baby boys on Saturday.

As per sources, the deceased patient identified as Sukhita Chetia gave birth to twins on Friday evening, however, due to in availability of proper medical hospitals in the nearby area in Pengri, the sufferer collapsed on the road.

Although, the family members called for ambulances at 108, but none reported to the spot on the day of the incident, claimed local people.

Later, a local people in the village came forward to help her and took her Digboi Civil Hospital on Saturday morning, however, she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
