Watch: Security beefed up in Guwahati ahead of publication of final NRC

Commissioner of Police Deepak Kumar on Thursday informed that all the sensitive areas in the city have been identified and the police department is keeping a strict vigilance in and around city.

Additional Paramilitary forces have also been deployed ahead of the publication of the Final NRC list on August 31st, 2019.

CP Deepak Kumar also mentioned the police department has been instructed to keep a strict vigil on social media and take action against those who spread fake news and hate messages.
