Security forces foiled alleged kidnapping attempt in Pengri

In a shocking incident, two unidentified armed miscreants made an attempt to kidnap two garden owners at Dibrujan area in Pengri on Thursday evening; however, the preparation got foiled, as security forces reached to the spot for a rescue operation.

As per reports, two armed miscreants at around 8 pm in the evening visited a garden in Dibrujan and threatened the on duty care taker on the gun point and asked him to call upon the joint tea estate owners Diphul Moran (42) and Ratul Baruah (44) on the garden for a conversation.

Later, based on a tipoff from the local people, security forces reached to the spot and launched a quick operation on the area, however, the armed miscreants managed to escape from the spot.

Meanwhile, police and security forces are keeping a close eye on the above mentioned location.
