Severe Food Poising in South Majuli sparks sensation, several admitted at JMCH

In a shocking incident, several people in South Majuli were reported severely ill after consuming sprouts.

The incident came to light during the foundation day of the Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) – the apex students' body of the Mising tribe on Wednesday.

As per sources, at least 26 people including both women and children were reported serious after consuming the sprouts and were admitted at Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH).

Meanwhile, speaking to media, Sourav Borkotoky, Superintendent, Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH) informed that the patients are recovering well and are out of danger as of now.

Further investigation is under process, he stated further.
