TADCDC demands reopening of Prasanna Turung & his wife Kamai Turung's missing case

One might have remembered the missing case of Tirap Autonomous District Council Demand Committee (TADCDC) president Prasanna Turung and his wife Kamai Turung on April 9, 2007.

As per records, Public Representative for Tirap Autonomous District Council Demand Committee, Prasanna Turung's missing case was dropped by the CBI due to lack of evidence.

Notably, CBI, after investigating the matter, informed the State government that in spite of all efforts, the kidnappers could not be nabbed nor the kidnapped persons traced. Therefore, a closure report was filed in the Court of Special Judicial Magistrate, Assam which was accepted in August 2013.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, under the aegis of Tirap Autonomous District Council Demand Committee, members of TADCDC walk down the streets to stage a road blockade at Margherita Hill View near National Highway 38, demanding re-opening of the sensational missing case
