Three vehicles vandalized during Tazia Procession in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh district of Assam witnessed acts of vandalism during the holy celebration of the Islamic festival of Muharram on Wednesday evening.

The locals alleged that the miscreants carried sharp weapons and hit what came their way in the presence of the police personnel.

On being contacted the Superintendent of Police, Dibrugarh, Subashini Sankaran said that three vehicles got damaged during the tazia procession and a case was registered in connection to the matter.

Meanwhile, the situation is under control and further investigation is carried out, informed SP Sankaran.
