Tinsukia Robbery

Sensation triggered in Tinsukia town following a broad day robbery in Chirapatty area on Wednesday morning.

As per sources, bike-borne robbers looted an amount Rs 2 lakh rupees by snatching away the cash bag and fled from the spot.

The victim identified as Sanjeev Konwar, a resident of Dhekiajan area under Dibrugarh District involved in tea business lodged a complaint in connection to the incident.

In his complaint, he said that he came out of the United Bank of India, Chirapatty Branch after withdrawing an amount Rs 2 lakh when the incident happened.

Meanwhile, Tinsukia police has been conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
