Uproar in Lalatapu Char Area after Sonitpur Administration continued its eviction drive

Sonitpur Administration on Friday launched an eviction drive against few suspicious people for allegedly encroaching in the char areas of Gotaimari, Chakighat, Dighali Chapori, Laletapu, Naanke in Jamugurihat under Sootea constituency, however, the situation took an ugly turn after a section of villagers broke down a JCR Truck in Laltapu.

Around 426 families were evicted from the area during an eviction drive by the Sonitpur Administration.
