In a tragic incident, a ninth standard school girl was severely hit by a speedy car from the front on Friday evening at Thelamora area in Dhekiajuli.

The injured girl was immediately shifted to Tezpur Medical College Hospital (TMCH).

Sources informed that the injured girl identified as Anita Devi daughter of Tankeshwar Nath is the resident of Komarchuburi village in Dhekiajuli.

She was reported to be student of Thelamora Higher Secondary School.

Meanwhile, police managed to seize the car bearing number AS 12D 6598 and conducting further investigation.

On the other hand, the doctors at the TMCH informed that injured Anita Devi is recovering well.
