Assam takes on COVID-19

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 all over the world, the Government of Assam has been pro actively taking all the necessary steps to prevent the people from contracting this deadly virus. The government is appealing to everyone to maintain adequate social distancing and even urging landlords and PG owners to provide concession to tenants, including guidelines for lockdown and relaxation in various economic and transport sector, as well as providing necessary funds to the needy people. The State government's action in tackling this situation and taking caution in this desperate time is highly commendable because of which the damage caused by this pandemic is comparatively lower than many other States.
