Anti-CAA protests: Arrested Activists in Tinsukia granted bail after 26 days of Judicial Custody

Activists of NSUI, AASU and two other social activists in Tinsukia were released on bail after 26 days of judicial Custody on Saturday.

NSUI State Secretary Babul Chetia, Fomer AASU leader Amrit Dutta and other social activists namely Rikiraj Gogoi and Ajijur Rahman were released on bail from Tinsukia Jail.

They were arrested by Tinsukia Police on December 15, 2019 after they took part in a protest against Citizenship Amendment Act 2019.

Speaking to the media, the leaders urged upon the people of Assam to stand united and continue with their non-violent protests against CAA 2019.
