Anti-CAA Sit-in Protest observed during Silpi Divas at Nehru Park in Guwahati

Silpi Divas was observed in different parts of Assam to remember the state's cultural icon and freedom fighter, Rupkuwor Jyoti Prasad Agarwala. NSUI organized a sit-in protest against CAA at Nehru Park in Guwahati.

The protestors claimed that the government was trying to suppress protests using various tactics some of which are oppressive and some which involved buying protestors by giving them money in the form of donations by appealing to their greed. The gathering informed that they will continue to protest as long as the Citizenship (Amendment) Act isn't repealed.
