Formation of a new organization 'Kantha Silpi Samaj'! Assam Flautist Dilip Hira raises concern

Assam Flautist Dilip Hira raises his concern over formation of a new organization 'Kantha Silpi Samaj' in the State.

Expressing his deep concern over the matter through a Facebook post, the flautist raised questions over the existence of the other instrumentalist or musicians who also plays an equally important role along with a singer.

"Does an artist only mean a singer? What about the other instrumentalists or musicians, don't they fall in the category of an artist?" Dilip asked.

It may be mentioned that renowned composer Shankar Mahadevan earlier shared a video of an Assamese flautist Dilip Heera in Guwahati, whom he saw playing the flute outside a restaurant at Hotel Taj Vivanta while having breakfast.
