Gohpur Police apprehended seven in connection to minor girl rape & murder incident

Seven people were arrested by Gohpur Police on Sunday for their alleged involvement in the 12 year old girl rape and murder incident.

Agitated people gheraoed the Gohpur Police Station and attacked one of the suspected accused. Meanwhile, the injured person was sent to Biswanath Hospital for treatment.

It is to be noted that a minor girl was allegedly gang raped by seven notorious boys at No.1 Chalaka of Rajabari under Gohpur Police Station on Friday.

As per initials reports, the miscreants called her for a dinner in the evening hours, thus, taking the opportunity of the situation they reportedly took her to a nearby jungle and gang raped her. The miscreants then killed her by silting her throat and hung her up from a tree and escaped.

A case was registered earlier against the culprits at Gohpur Police Station by the family members of the victim girl.
