Missing boy's body recovered from River Brahmaputra in Majuli

In a tragic incident, a body of a college-going youth was recovered from the banks of River Brahmaputra in Majuli on Wednesday.

As per the family members, the young lad identified as Uttam Das was reported missing since February 29, 2020.

The family members also lodged a missing report at Majuli Police Station; but, his whereabouts were not ascertained until the recovery of the body this morning.

The exact cause of death has not been ascertained yet.

On the other hand, the family members of the deceased claimed it to be a case of a pre-planned murder.

Notably, the deceased Uttam Das, resident of Burasensuwa village in Majuli was the student of the 4th Semester in Majuli College.
