National Girl Child Day celebrated in Kokrajhar

The National Girl Child day was celebrated in various part of Kokrajhar with a day long programme.

The District Child Protection Unit, Kokrajhar in partnership with the State Child Protection Society, Assam observed the day among the school children at Kokrajhar Girls' Higher Secondary School.

An awareness rally was carried out in Kokrajhar town where over a hundred students participated. The Bodoland Riders and Eastern Riders also took out the bike rally with the objectives to spread awareness on girl child.

The rally was flag off by the Pranjal Sarma, Asst, Deputy Commissioner (AADC) Kokrajhar district and Chairperson of Child welfare committee Kokrajhar Malati Rani.
