ABSU appeals Government of India & Assam to reconsider the release of Ranjan Daimary

The All Bodo Students Union, through this press note appeals the Government of India and Assam adhering to the Bodo Peace Accord signed on 27-01-2020 with the ABSU, Factions of NDFB and UBPO to reconsider the release of the President of NDFB (Progressive) Ranjan Daimary alias D.R. Nabla, who is one of the Signatory to the Accord.

ABSU appeals for the greater interest of the implementation and peace building process after the accord and giving the mark of respectable opportunity for the leadership of NDFB to join the mainstream after they have shun the path of armed struggle through the accord.

ABSU believe the Govt. of India and Assam will take initiative for the sake of the political amnesty and release on bail, the signatory leader of NDFB as early possible.

On the other ABSU strongly condemn the firing incident at Panery where one person by name Khairul Haque was killed on 21-02-2020
