Akhil Gogoi to Protest over Subansiri Dam Construction

"NHPC, which is planning to complete the Lower Subansiri Hydroelectric project, will destroy the future of the Farmers and people living in low lying areas people of Assam, thus, we will not let it happen at any cost," said Akhil Gogoi in a press release at Kaziranga on Wednesday.

Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti leader Akhil Gogoi also said that if the NHPC and the BJP Government doesn't stop the Subansiri hydroelectric project, then the organization will be bound to launch a massive protest in collaboration with different organizations of Assam as well as with the local people in order to stop the project.
