All Tai Ahom Students' Union (ATASU) staged a 2 hour sit-in demonstration in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Sivasagar town to protest against the eviction drive at Amchang Reserve Forest area. The organisation further demanded suspension of eviction drive in Amchang and rehabilitation of the evicted people.
