Assam: Tea Laborers launch Massive Protest in Tangla (Udalguri district ).

Tea laborers of Attarekhat, Dharamjuli, Swala, Borengajuli, Bhergaon, Krishna Susaibini, Ambica, Dimakuchi, Panery, Bamunjali, Orangajuli, Nonaipara, Bhutiachang, Hatigarh, Majuli, Ghagra, Khoirabari, Corammore, Chandana, Singrimari, and Tangni tea estates launched a massive protest in connection with the increment of their wages from Rs 137 to Rs 350. The tea garden laborers taking part in the protest program have expressed strong resentment towards the delaying tactics of the government in finalizing the minimum wages.
