Bangla signboard in Assamese school in Naharkatia

At a time when there is concern among the Assamese speaking population of the state of the sate over the decline in number of speakers of the language against the rise in number of speakers of Bengali and Hindi, a calendar in Bangla language in a Assamese medium school in Naharkotia has raised eyebrows. As per reports, the calendar was produced designed by a Kahilipara-based government agency.
