Bus accident leaves 15 injured in Jagi Road

At least 15 people were reported injured after a roadways bus accident at National Highway 37 near Palahguri in Jagi Road on Monday night.

As per initial reports, the night super bus driver lost control of the vehicle (AS 01HC 8966) and fell into a ditch near by the NH37.

Following the road accident, Morigaon Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Borah and SP Swapnil Deka rushed to the spot for inspection.

All the injured passengers were shifted to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for better treatment.

It has also been suspected that the bus driver was driving the bus under the influence of alcohol, even though there is no official confirmation on the matter.

Further investigation is on.
