Coronavirus update: Buddhist Monastery in Naharkatika take extra prevention measures
The historic Buddhist Monastery in Namphake, Naharkatia have started distributing hand sanitizers among pilgrims to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In addition to the preventive measures taken by the district administration and the Health Department, the Buddhist Monastery has put this measure in place as a precaution against the dreaded virus. It is to be noted that it is the biggest Buddhist monastery in Assam. Every year, a large number of domestic and foreign tourists visit the monastery.
