Day 4: Congress Demand CBI probe into "Declared Foreigner Dulal Paul" death incident

Following the death of the declared foreigner Dulal Paul at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), the family members of deceased earlier raised objections to accept the body and further urged the Government of Assam to deport it to Bangladesh.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), President Ripun Bora, Former Uttrakhand Chief Minister and Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat among others visited the family members of the deceased and condemned the incident.

They also blamed CM Sarbananda Sonowal-led BJP Government for the death of an Indian Citizen at the detention centre. The leaders of Congress further demanded a CBI probe into the incident.

Meanwhile, local organizations like AAMSU, All Assam Bengali Youth Students Federation members among others are being staging protests near the residence of the deceased since past 4 days.
