Hailakandi 's Government Hospital in a State of Plight

The first spate of floods in Assam has gripped many Government offices of Hailakandi district in a state of devastation. The Kalinagar Block Primary Health Centre of Algapur constituency was also under water. After 4 days of being submerged under water, the hospital is now in devastating condition. Flood has damaged many valuable instruments of the hospital along with several computer sets and invertors. It is yet uncertain when the regular treatments will start again. Cleanliness mission is on war foot in the hospital premise. This hospital had received the best Block Primary Health Centre of 2018 award from the health department. The current unavailability of treatment has created hue and cry among the local people.
