Park Library comes up in Golaghat Town in Assam.

In a noble initiative to inculcate reading habits among students, youngsters and the community at large, a first of its kind Park Library’ culture has been jointly introduced by Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan, Assam State and a nonprofit organisation of Golaghat on Monday.

The facility has been set up at the Sankardev Udyan in GolaghatTown with a collection of about 150 books in Assamese, Hindi and English

The Golaghat Municipal Board has provided the space and the physical infrastructure required for setting up the library.

Visitors of all ages can come to the park and read their favourite collection of books free of cost in the fresh open air of the park.

Since the library is located within the park, it opens and closes according to the park’s timings.
