Rat-hole miner allegedly dies at Namdang Colliery near Assam-Arunachal Border

Block Congress Committee of Margherita Unit on Tuesday in Facebook post blamed the BJP-Govt over alleged death of a 'rat hole miner' at Namdang Colliery near Assam-Arunachal Pradesh Border.

Although a search operation was launched in the coal mining site by the Margherita Police, however, no whereabouts of the coal miner was ascertained.

Earlier, on October 13, 2019, Margherita Block Congress Committee members have submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, Prahlad Joshi during his two-day visit to Assam's Margherita and Arunachal Pradesh. The committee had also demanded that all illegal coal mining in the area should be stopped and perpetrators be arrested.
