Six cattle laden trucks seized by Police in Nagaon

Six cattle laden trucks were seized by Police in Nagaon on Friday evening.

The trucks were reportedly travelling from Rupahihat in Nagaon to Meghalaya when chased down by the police patrolling team.

The Police had arrested 16 people including the truck drivers from the spot and rescued almost 150 plus cattle.

It is suspected that the cattle smugglers were allegedly smuggling these cattle to Bangladesh via Meghalaya Border, informed the police sources.
