Anchit Gogoi, Nayanika Deka to fight for double crown at Tennis Championship

GUWAHATI: Anchit Gogoi and Nayanika Deka of NETF will fight for the double crown in the ongoing 30th All Assam Junior Ranking Tennis Championship at North East Tennis Foundation courts in the city tomorrow. AnchitGogoi reached the finals in the boys' under-18 age group and men singles while NayanikaDeka will play the finals in the girls under-14 & 18 age groups.

Results: Girls' under-14 (semi final): NayanikaDeka beat Namrata Das 6/1, 7/5. KatyayaniBasishth beat AnanyaBorthakur 6/0, 4/6, 7/5. Boy's under-18 (semi final): AnchitGogoi beat AntarikshTamuly 6/2, 6/4, Kritanta Sharma beat Tushar Paul 6/1, 1/0 (conceeded). Girls' under-18 (semi final): Kristi Boro beat Namrata Das 6/0, 7/5, NayanikaDeka beat JustinaBorgohain 6/3, 6/1 (upset). Mens singles (semi final): Sheikh Ifthikar M. beat Kritanta Sharma 6/1, 7/5, AnchitGogoi beat Satyam Goswami 6/2, 4/6, 6/2.
