Anushka Sharma is married to Afghani cricketer Rashid Khan? Search engine Google says so

New Delhi: Quite astonishingly, search engine giant Google has been showing Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma's name as the result for 'Rashid Khan's wife' query. When one goes to Google and types in the words "Rashid Khan's wife" in the search box, the name of Anushka Sharma pops up. Anushka is the wife of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and the couple had tied the knot in December 2017 after a long on again-off again affair. Anushka is currently in the UAE where Virat is leading his side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2020.

Rashid, on the other hand, is a cricketer from Afghanistan, who is very popular in India due to his stellar performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with his side Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), which he joined in the 2017 season. SRH has won the IPL trophy once, and Rashid, counted among the best T20 bowlers, has been one of the integral members of the side.

It is being suspected that Anushka's name has been popping up as Rashid Khan's wife due to a technical issue. Way back in 2018, during a chat with RED FM, Rashid had named Anushka Sharma and Preity Zinta as his favourite actresses.

After Rashid's interview in 2018, headlines were made over him picking Anushka as his favourite actress. Now, Google is showing yet another gaffe. If you search 'Rashid Khan's wife' on Google, the search result is, surprisingly, Anushka Sharma.

A brief bio of Rashid pops up when one types the query followed by marital status which reads 'married'. Under wife/spouse section there is Anushka's name while the marriage date shows 11 December 2017 (this is actually the date when Kohli and Anushka tied the knot in Italy). Rashid is yet to get married.
