Arunachal Pradesh: 8th Edition Of Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy To Kick Off In Pasighat On May 23

ITANAGAR: A coordination meeting was held at Pasighat in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday to review preparations for the upcoming 8th edition of the state level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy. The prestigious football and volleyball tournament for under-16 boys and girls is scheduled to take place in Pasighat from May 23 to June 2.

Chairing the meeting, East Siang deputy commissioner Tayi Taggu directed all nodal officers to closely monitor the ongoing preparations and ensure timely completion of their assigned tasks.

Emphasizing the scale of the event, which will host over 1,400 participants, the DC called for meticulous planning to avoid any last-minute issues. Pasighat East MLA Tapi Darang, who also attended the meeting, assured full support for the smooth conduct of the tournament. He urged concerned officials to meet all necessary requirements to host the event successfully.

District sports officer Ajong Sitek gave an overview of the arrangements underway.

The meeting was attended by SP Pankaj Lamba, joint director of health services Dr T Tali, officials from the District Olympic association (DOA) and District Football Association (DFA), along with other public leaders and key departmental officers.
