Assam Athletics Association (AAA) to host International Marathon

GUWAHATI: Assam Athletics Association (AAA) will organize International Marathon in the line of Delhi and Mumbai. The decision was taken in the Annual General Meeting of the Assam Athletics Association which was held in a city hotel here today.

Addressing the meeting the president of the Assam Athletic Association Lakhya Konwar said,"We have decided to host a series of competitions for our State players and International Marathon will be one of them."

As per the calendar announced in the meeting Assam Athletic Association had planned to host National and International Athletics meet in November. On the other hand, special camps will be organized in various districts during summer vacation.

Apart from Konwar the meeting was also attended by the secretary and Joint Secretary of the Assam Athletics Association Ashok Kumar Bharali, Nipon Das respectively and the representatives of the various district associations.
