Assam CM Congratulates Women's Archery Team For Winning Gold

Guwahati: For winning gold in the 10th All India Police Archery held at Noida in Uttar Pradesh, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday congratulated the women's archery team.

Appreciating their efforts, the Assam Chief Minister in a facebook post said,''Kudos to Hav Binuma Brahma of 10th APbn, Wubc Rita Basumatary of Goalpara DEF, Woman Police Constable Anima Majhi of 2nd APTF and WPC Binamoni Rabha of 1st APTF.''

Reportedly, around 350 men and women will participate in the 10th edition of the All India Police Archery Championship which started on Tuesday in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) campus.

As per the ITBP, the event started on November 9, will continue till November 13.

About 20 teams of State Police Forces and Central Police Organisations and Central Armed Police Forces are participating in the championship.

The first event of all India Police games was held in 1951 and in 2013 archery was included in the list of All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB).
