Carabao Cup: Arsenal Beat Leeds To Reach Quarter Finals

London: Arsenal has secured a birth into the quarterfinals of Carabao Cup as the latter thrashed Leeds united on Wednesday.

Calcum Chambers and Edward Nketiah scored goals in the second-half to register a 2-0 win over the struggling Leeds.

After coming as a substitute in the match, Chambers struck in the 55th minute. However, at first it seemed that Illan Meslier saved the goal, but later it was revealed that the ball had crossed the line. Thanks to goal-line technology.

In the 69th minute, Gunners' second goal came in followed by a poor header from Liam Cooper, which trapped Melier as Nketiah rounded the goalkeeper and his wrong shot bounces into the corner from a narrow angle.

In the beginning, Arsenal started aggressively as they made first effort on goal with Gabriel Martinelli attempting to beat Meslier, but it was saved by the French goalkeeper.

Despite the Arsenal decent start, there wasn't any much pressure on the Leeds defence as Marcelo Bielsa's side grew into the match, and they created the best opportunity of the game midway through the half.
