
GUWAHATI: Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy lifted the 1st Rupam Patgiri All Assam U-19 Inter Institutional and Academy Cricket title defeating City Cricket Coaching Centre in a well contested final by a single wicket at Jagiroad today. Chasing 146 runs to win in 50 overs, Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy reached the target in 33.5 overs losing 9 wickets. Earlier elected to bat first, City Cricket Coaching Centre bowled out 145 in 41.4 overs. Former cricketer and selector of Senior State team Satya Gopal Chakraborty, treasurer of Hockey India Tapan Das, former cricketer Gautah Hazarika, Sajjad Zahir Hussain, Rita Baidya Kakati, Manju Chetia, strength and conditioning coach Tauhid Ali Talukdar and sports organizer Bablu Choudhury attend the closing ceremony and distributed the prizes.
