Ankurjyoti Academy lifted the 1st Rupam Patgiri All Assam U-19 Inter-Institutional and Academy Cricket title

GUWAHATI: Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy lifted the 1st Rupam Patgiri All Assam U-19 Inter Institutional and Academy Cricket title defeating City Cricket Coaching Centre in a well contested final by a single wicket at Jagiroad today. Chasing 146 runs to win in 50 overs, Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy reached the target in 33.5 overs losing 9 wickets. Earlier elected to bat first, City Cricket Coaching Centre bowled out 145 in 41.4 overs. Former cricketer and selector of Senior State team Satya Gopal Chakraborty, treasurer of Hockey India Tapan Das, former cricketer Gautah Hazarika, Sajjad Zahir Hussain, Rita Baidya Kakati, Manju Chetia, strength and conditioning coach Tauhid Ali Talukdar and sports organizer Bablu Choudhury attend the closing ceremony and distributed the prizes.

Brief scores: City Cricket coaching centre 145 (41.4 overs), Debraj Goswami 39, Keshav Deep 36, Akash Basfor 5-33, Himangshu Saraswat 3-3. Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy 146-9 (33.5 overs), Ram Kishan Sharma 42, Himangshu Saraswat 28, Mit 4-17.

Individual awards: Best Wicket keeper Varun Jajodia (Ankurjyoti Club). Best Bowler- Priyangshu Paul (CCCC). Best Batter- Rohan Hazarika (CCCC). Man of the Match- Ram Kishan Sharma. Player of the tournament- Himangshu Saraswat.
