BAKU: Denmark defeated Czech Republic 2-1 in its Euro 2020 quarterfinal at Baku to book its place in the last four of the continental championships on Saturday.
Thomas Delaney gave the Danes an early lead in the 5th minute of the first half and Kasper Dolberg doubled the lead, three minutes before half-time.
Patrik Schick halved Denmark's advantage at the beginning of the second half and despite a spirited effort, Czech Republic could not get on the scoresheet again, for the rest of the game, thereby sending Denmark through to the semifinals.
Denmark will face the winner of the fourth and final quarterfinal clash between England and Ukraine on Wednesday. Agencies
