KOLKATA: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has made eye tests mandatory for Bengal cricketers, it said in a statement. There was a meeting between Bengal coaching unit and CAB administration.

"Eye tests would be made mandatory for all the Bengal players," the statement said.

"There would be wicket keeper's clinic for emerging wicket keepers. Deep Dasgupta would be approached for the same," it added.

There is no change in Bengal senior coaching staff with Arun Lal continuing to be the head coach and Joydeep Mukherjee remaining in charge of cricket operations, it was decided during the meeting.

"Utpal Chatterjee would continue in his role as spin coach and Ranadeb Bose would continue to perform his role as a bowling coach for various Bengal sides," the statement read.

There would also be a spinners' camp by a spin specialist for 7-10 days which may be conducted for spinners who would be selected once the current situation surrounding COVID-19 eases. IANSĀ
