Assam Police, ASEBSC register wins

NAGAON:  In a match of the 75th Independence Day Cup Football Prize Money Tournament at Nagaon Nurul Amin Stadium, the former champion Assam Police outplayed North East United FC by 2-0 and ensured its place in quarter final of the tournament here today.

The first half of the match was ended with goalless. Playing first time in this tournament NEUFC faced a suicidal goal in the 52nd minute by Hangsing. Rakesh Das netted the second goal to ensure Assam Police’s victory.

Meanwhile ASEBSC thrashed Lokasoccer Club, Karela by 5-0 with the help Jubangbla Brahma’s hat-trick at Dhing Sports Association playground and entered the quarter finals. Chandan Barman and Dwijraj Bodo netted the other two goals.
